A community-based marine protected network
One of my favorite photographs from Papua New Guinea, and one that perhaps represents a healthier relationship between humans and the 🌍. These islands are part of a community-based marine protected network, where the local communities care about their reefs, and govern them accordingly. Here, kids from a nearby village paddle up to investigate while we worked in the shallows. Happy Earth Day
